The majestic Carnaby's Cockatoo (Zanda latirostris) is portrayed in careful detail in this exclusive print by wildlife artist, Ian Griffiths. Restricted to the inland of SW Australia, the Carnaby's Cockatoo is Endangered in the wild, having lost over 80% of its feeding habitat to agriculture since the 1950's. Egg and chick poaching, and recent heatwaves have also impacted the fragile population of these birds. Competition from increasing numbers of Galahs (Eolophus roseicapilla) for nest hollows is another possible problem for this special species.
