Hyacinth Macaws (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) are loved for their cute and curious behaviour and stunning purple-blue feathers. While heavy trapping has left these birds endangered in the wild, their numbers are finally back on the rise.
WPT is working to protect parrots like Hyacinth Macaws by collaborating with local communities and authorities to stop trapping, as well as by helping to rescue, rehabilitate and return them back into their natural habitats.
